Downtown Elkhart has recently undergone several construction projects as part of a re-development plan to enhance the city and attract more residents.

Beacon Health recently completed construction of a massive Fitness Center with Olympic sized swimming pools, spas, basketball courts, walking track, weight lifting, racquetball, and more!

The Jackson Rooftop is a new spot to enjoy rooftop views of the city while sipping cocktails and enjoying appetizers. Hotel Elkhart is now open with a rooftop bar and beautifully renovated hotel suits.

Nibco Water Park offers ice skating and hot chocolate and the Wellfield Botanic Gardens put on a Winter Light Show with 1.2 million lights strung throughout the park. 

When you visit downtown Elkhart, you’ll find many tasty restaurants along Main Street as well as breweries and bars. Shop local boutique stores on Main Street or stop in for coffee at several cozy and inviting coffee shops.
