Elkhart 4H Fair

The Elkhart 4H Fair takes place every July in Goshen, Indiana. It’s a fun filled event featuring theme park rides, amazing food, and various events like concerts, demolition derby, tractor pulls, horse shows, and more. Wristband day is great for larger families as your kids can ride as many rides as they desire with an all day wristband.

Hall of Heroes Super Hero Museum

The super hero museum in Elkhart is a great place to bring your kids to show them the history of comics and super heroes. You’ll get to see the original real life props that were used in the super hero movies, like Batman, the Avengers, Spiderman, and more! The museum also has one of the largest collections of action figures in the world!

The Lerner Theatre

The Lerner puts on movies, plays, comedy shows, and more throughout the year making it a great venue to bring the family for some entertainment. In the winter time during holiday months, your children can come watch ELF as well as various other Christmas plays and movies at the Lerner.

Pumpkin Vine Nature Trail

Load up the bikes and take your kids to the Pumpkin Vine Nature Trail which spans over 17 miles from Goshen to Shipshewana to Middlebury, Indiana. This trail is a popular destination for bike rides or walking. You can hop on and off the trail at anytime.

Parks with Playgrounds

If your kids love playing on playgrounds, there are no shortage of parks available in Elkhart County for the kids to explore. Some of the popular parks known for their playgrounds include Hay Park (Goshen), Pringle Park (Goshen), Shanklin Park (Goshen), Walker Park (Elkhart), and Island Park (Elkhart)

National New York Central Railroad Museum

If your kids love trains, take them to see this historical Elkhart museum where they can learn about the New York Central and get to go inside the trains that used to pass through Elkhart County. There are still many trains that come through Elkhart County today but the NYC Railroad was a huge part of Elkhart’s history and the museum can be a fun day to learn about and explore.
