You’ll notice that the Elkhart County building is actually titled RV/MH Hall of Fame.

This MH stands for manufactured housing and it’s another integral part of the rich history of the RV industry. Back during the war, soldiers needed housing upon their return home. The RV Manufacturers saw this as a business opportunity and they produced manufactured housing to help house the soldiers so the soldiers could have access to immediate housing upon return.

Today, Elkhart County has several manufactured housing companies that still produce innovative homes for people to purchase to live in and it’s an industry that contributes greatly to Elkhart’s economy.
