People can enjoy the authentic, industrial building and watch the brewers at work through large windows overlooking the tanks or sip beer at the outdoor patio.
Their tap list changes time to time and incorporates a variety of traditional styles blended with homogenous ingredients realising a barrel-aged and sour beers. There is a farm-to-table menu available that features all local and organic ingredients and a bike in on the Millrace bike path accessible for Sunday brunch.

The northern Indian brewpub Iechyd Da Brewing Co. is located right on the main drag in Elkhart, IN. The brewery is founded by the husband and wife couple Chip and Summer Lewis. It is Elkhart’s first and oldest brew pub. Initially the couple used to brew at home for years and then later in 2011 they decided to take the plunge it into real deal.
After a year, in 2012 they established a little brewery right on the main street of the Elkhart town. It took more than a year to source the equipment from around the country for both the brewery and kitchen culminated in a 7bbl brewery and kitchen to create a handcrafted brew and grub.
Currently the brewery is jointly operated by the duo. The husband brews the beer and the wife runs the pub. “Iechyd Da” pronounced as “Yacky Da” has been derived from the term used for Welsh toast which means “Good Health.” It’s like saying Cheers.
Iechyd Da sells beer and soda that is made on premise from blondes to ambers to IPAs, porters and lagers and house root beers that run the gamut. The beer that their brewers runs the gamut is a like a form of their art. They make all kind of beer from English Session Beer to Hoppy American Pale Ales and make as much if the food that they can muster in-house. The motto is to serve fresh and local foods. The brewpub serves a small menu comprising of handcrafted pizzas, ales, lagers, oven baked sandwiches and sodas. It is a laid back urban coffee house that meets beer and pizza together. .
The breweries are open 5 days. It remains open from 3 to 9 P.M on Wednesday and Thursday, from 11 to 9 on Friday, on Saturday from 12 TO 9 PM, and from 12 P.M to 8 P.M on Sunday. It remains closed on Monday and Tuesday. The kitchen and food carryout close down an hour before the bar. A small lot next to the pub and street parking is available.

The regular hour of the fine dine is 11:00 am – 8:30 pm on Thursday to Thursday and 11:00 am – 9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. But the Dining hours have been revised and the timing has been curtailed to a minimum limit, It remains closed from Sunday to Wednesday, remains open from 4:30PM to 8:30PM on Thursday and the working hour on Friday and Saturday is 4:30PM to 9:00PM. The dining service begins at 5.00P.M.

Westwind Brewery Co. is a small batch family run craft brewery. The microbrewery operates with the motto “Always share your brew”. They offer local brew with some of their unique twists to the craft. The main aim of the winery is to provide a small batch of quality beer for the customers to share with family, friends and loved ones. They use fresh ingredients and local craft to brew to share and cherish with friends, family, co-workers and loved ones.
The menu is well decorated with different category of local made brews. Genesis, Double Primis, Last Day Under the Sun, I have Spoken, Sacrifice, Impossible Days, Faithfully and Destinity Is All, Change in Trajectory, indeed, This is the way etc. are their testimonial beers.
Genesis is a unique type of brew that is rich & full bodied flavoured with hints of chocolate. Primis brew is a hazy & floral with a generous amount of Citra and Mosaic hops. The Sacrifice is a brew made from Citrusy & fresh, brewed with honeydew melons. Double Primis, as the name says is is twice rewarding than the Primis. Last Day Under the Sun is a DDH NEIPA brew with a Top secret hop. They are one of only two breweries that have this hop in all of Indiana. I Have Spoken is also a form of DDH NEIPA. The impossible days is a double dry hopped NE IPA with imported yeast. Faithfully is the most selling and award winning mandarin Orange DIPA. This is simply considered as touch of heaven. And then Destiny is all is a brew with DDH including plenty of Galaxy and Enigma hops. Change in Trajectory is a robust porter brewed for good friend. And lastly a perfect brew of all the time that includes IPA with Idaho 7 is Indeed that is served by the Westwind Brewery Co.
The brewery is currently working to upgrade their system and expects to complete the process by summer 2021. They also have plenty of room to expand or for outside activities or festivals, so it’ll be fun to see how things progress. There are wide range of service available like free Wi-fi, Takeout, Curbside pickup, Sit-down dining. The home delivery service is off currently due to the current pandemic. The winery is open practicing the all CDC and State recommended precautions to ensure the safety. To keep everyone safe various health and safety measures are taken like ensuring staff wearing masks and gloves, use hand sanitizer and accept contactless payments
As all the owners are Family Guys, the hours are restricted to Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The brew operates from 3.00 P.M to 7.00P.m on Thursday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday and 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday. The owners seem to have a good business model and put a lot of thought and care in operating and maintaining everything.. Indeed it is a nice and homely atmosphere to have a fun Brewery to hang out.
